1944

Foundation of the Industrial Madeireira S/A ("IMASA" at the time), in Videira (SC). It was originally established as a factory for beds, chairs, and furniture.

1957

Acquisition of a 50% stake in Bellani & Cia Ltda., which owned a crate factory in Videira (SC) and pine forests in Monte Carlo (SC). It was later fully incorporated into Vimasa.

1960

Installation of a pine sawmill in Baulândia (southwest of Paraná) and Água Doce (Santa Catarina).

1963

Acquisition of a 2.600-hectare tract of land in Bituruna (PR) and installation of a sawmill (pine, imbuia, and cinnamon trees).

1968

Vimasa invests in logging activities in northern Brazil (State of Pará).

1974

Opening of the factory in the Rio das Pedras industrial district, in Videira (SC). Operations begin with pre-cut and laminated products.

1975

Implementation of Vimasa's first reforestation projects in Bituruna (PR).

1976

Commencement of plywood factory operations in Videira (SC).​

1976

1980

Implementation of Vimasa's first pine reforestation projects in the Videira (SC) region.

90's

End of the "Native Pine Cycle". From this point on, plywood production transitioned exclusively to reforested pine wood or combined with veneers sourced from sustainable management (North and Midwest regions).

1997 e 1998

Vimasa's first exports were sent to Uruguay, Paraguay, and Germany.

2000

Startup of operations at the rolling ply/veneer mill in Bituruna (PR)

Clear cutting of the first reforestation areas in the Videira (SC) region.

2004

Expansion of the manufacturing facility in Videira (SC).

2005 - 2009

Plywood exports for the construction of the Greenpoint and Moses Mabhida stadiums for the 2010 FIFA World Cup in South Africa.

Vimasa reaches the milestone of 2,500 shipments to destinations in Brazil and over 50 other countries worldwide.

2024

Modernization of the Videira (SC) factory, implementing a new veneer peeling line and automatic loading press line.
